ToggleWhy Choose a Class B RV?
Class B RVs never go out of style. They’re compact enough to fit in a standard parking spot, which makes them easy to navigate through urban environments. They also fit in a wider variety of campgrounds with RV size restrictions.

Who Makes the Chassis for Class B RVs?
Most class B RVs today are built on a chassis from one of three predominant manufacturers:
- Mercedes-Benz®
- Ford
- RAM
Our focus today is on camper vans built on the RAM ProMaster chassis. RAM actually offers several ProMaster chassis options, but the most commonly used in RV construction is the 3500 extended van chassis.
RV manufacturers like to build on this chassis because it allows them to offer their finished RVs at a lower price point than if they used a more expensive chassis. It also allows RAM class B RVs to include important safety features like forward collision assist and 360° cameras.

Built mine from a Nissan NV 2500. 25,000 miles all around the country n haven’t seen another. Vehicle has 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. Shorter inside than Ram Ford n Mercedes. A/C,extra AGM battery, 2,000 watt inverter, cheap Lowe’s frig freezer runs on 80 watts, marine toilet n plumbed w water heater, sink n shower
Awesome Dave!
I own the Thor Sequence 20L, and it has been the best RV to use when you have dogs, as well as simply driving long distances, where you can simply leave the passenger seat to either use the toilet, or watch TV. You can use the rear AC turning on the generator, and simply purchasing a cover, keeping the vehicle plugged in for 110 voltage keeps all batteries charged. I really cannot find anything wrong with this vehicle. I don’t have to deal with Mercedez costs, Ford Transit issues, and even have a place for my dogs water and food. It comes with a screen door, awning, bike rack, and then I added a storage container to the rear. Something that has to be done simply to bring tools and more barbeque tools. It has a way to use the propane for barbecue grill, and then it has a small solor array on top to keep the refrigerator going for 30 hours. The prices have increased from 79k to 140k for the same 2021 Van.
Great advice Michael!
